“You can't teach an old dog new tricks” is a way to express how habits gained during the years can turn into a barrier when facing new experiences and new ideas.
On the opposite, we asked ourselves how much what has been done in the past influences our projects and actions. This consideration laid the foundations for our musical style and the songs of this album. Without any presumption of being some kind of avantgarde, but facing the world in its actual reality, concerning musical aspects as social ones as well, we put together our interpretation of today and some purposes for the future. “Old tricks for young dogs” turns out to be our voice in communicating with the past, without falling in mannerism or conservatism, while immersed in the present and lounched towards the future.

“You can't teach an old dog new tricks” (“Non puoi insegnare nuovi trucchi ad un vecchio cane”). Questo modo di dire inglese indica quanto le abitudini acquisite negli anni possano consolidarsi e diventare una barriera verso nuove idee ed esperienze.
In antitesi, ci siamo chiesti quanto il lavoro di chi ci ha preceduto influenzi le nostre vite e sia di ispirazione per i nostri progetti. Questa riflessione è stata la base su cui abbiamo elaborato il nostro stile ed i brani di questo album. Senza la presunzione di essere avanguardia o dinamite, ma cercando di affrontare il mondo nella sua realtà attuale, musicale ma anche sociale, abbiamo raccolto la nostra personale lettura dell'oggi e alcuni propositi per il futuro. “Old tricks for young dogs” vuol essere la nostra voce nel comunicare col passato, senza scadere in manierismo o conservatorismo, immersi nel presente e lanciati verso un futuro ancora da costruire.
